NDIA-TVC Leadership Excellence AWARDS – Nomination deadline is March 6, 2026
The NDIA-TVC Leadership Excellence Awards will be presented annually to individuals who have contributed significantly toward the defense posture or technology advancement of the United States for at least 15 years in their primary national defense related area of endeavor. At least two Awards will be made, one to a Government representative; and a separate Award will be made to an Industry representative. The Award will consist of a personalized crystal obelisk, and a framed certificate with a photo. In addition, the Awardees’ photo will be placed in the Photo Gallery located on the NDIA TVC website, and non-NDIA members will be given a paid one-year membership. All nominees and a guest will be invited to attend the event.
Criteria for Award
Nominees must be United States citizens.
Nominees must be individuals in the United States Government managerial or leadership levels (GS-13 / O-4 / CW3 / E-7, and above), or corresponding industry senior managers.
Nominees must have contributed significantly toward the defense posture of the United States for at least 15 years in their primary area of endeavors and implemented advances in technology increasing the U.S. National Defense and the strategic level war-fighting capability of the nation.
Area of endeavors span the life cycle of the material acquisition process, i.e., from “cradle to grave” or technology/industrial base development.

NDIA-TVC Management AWARDS – Nomination deadline is March 6, 2026
The NDIA-TVC Management Awards will be presented annually to individuals who have made a significant contribution to leading efforts in the Department of Defense organic industrial base, technology base, advanced technology development in support of our national defense or special interests, or who have significantly advanced technology into the hands of the warfighters within the past two years. There will be at least two awards presented this year to recognize both United States Government and American defense industry employees. The Award will consist of a personalized crystal obelisk, and a framed certificate with a photo. In addition, the Awardees’ photo will be placed in the Photo Gallery located on the NDIA TVC website, and non-NDIA members will be given a paid one-year membership. All nominees and a guest will be invited to attend the event.

Nominees must be individuals whom have contributed significantly to leading efforts in the Department of Defense organic industrial base, technology base, advanced technology development in support of our national defense or special interests, or who have significantly advanced technology into the hands of the warfighters within the past two years. These awards provide an opportunity to recognize exceptional performers in the United States Government (GS-11 / O-3 / CW2 / E-6, and above) grade levels and non-government mid-level management or mid-level and above or equivalent industry technical positions. The intent of this award is to recognize management excellence in bringing new and emerging technologies and defense technical initiatives into the national defense system.
Nominees must have facilitated advances in technology (through management or technical skill) increasing the U.S. National Defense and warfighting capability at either the tactical or operational levels related to an Army Brigade Combat Team or equivalently sized Army, USAF, U.S. Navy, Special Forces or higher level unit, or facilitated advances in technology (through management or technical skill) in support of vital national interests.

The NDIA-TVC Technology Awards will be presented annually to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Defense Technology Base, or who have significantly advanced technology into the hands of the warfighters, or advanced technology in support of national interests within the past two years. These awards provide an opportunity to recognize exceptional performers in the United States Government (GS-7 / O-1 / CW1 / E-5, and above) grade levels and non-government engineers and/or technology development positions. There will be at least two awards presented to recognize both United States Government employees and industry employees. The Award will consist of a personalized crystal obelisk, and a framed certificate with a photo. In addition, the Awardees’ photo will be placed in the Photo Gallery located on the NDIA TVC website, and non-NDIA members will be given a paid one-year membership. All nominees and a guest will be invited to attend the event.

Nominees must be individuals who, within a minimum of the recent past two years, contributed significantly to the Defense Technology Base, advanced technology into the hands of the warfighters, advanced technology in support of a national interests, or have significantly advanced a specific technology within the Defense Industrial Base of the United States.
The intent of this award is to recognize technical excellence in refining technology, bringing new and emerging technologies, and advancing defense technical initiatives into the national defense system.

If online submission is not permissible, a signed nomination form (included in this package) may be completed and submitted to NDIATVCAWARDS@gmail.com. Additional pages may be used to describe the nominee’s accomplishments. Also, organizations may consolidate all of their nominations and submit a single letter on the nominating organizational letterhead signed by the nominating official that encloses all of the nomination forms.
